Do you still have bad internet even with a Linksys Velop mesh system? Fortunately, there are a number of ways to address the Linksys Velop slow speed issue that many users face.
1. Check your internet speed
Before blaming your Velop system, run a speed test directly from your modem. If your ISP is giving you slow speeds, it's not your Velop system.
2. Improve Node Positioning
Velop nodes that are not positioned correctly may cause slow speeds and weak transmissions. Ensure that the nodes are in wide spaces, away from obstacles, and within range of one another.
3. Linksys Velop Firmware Update
An outdated firmware version may cause performance issues. The Linksys app should launch in order to update the Linksys Velop firmware.
Navigate to Velop Administration > Firmware Update.
Make sure you have automatic updates enabled for better performance.
4. Check for Interference
Nearby equipment that could interfere with WiFi connections include microwaves and baby monitors. Try changing the WiFi channel settings in the Linksys app.
5. Turn the system you created back on
The Velop nodes can be power cycled to resolve minor connection issues. After unplugging each node and waiting 30 seconds, restart it.
If troubleshooting doesn't resolve the Linksys Velop Slow Speed Issue, try resetting your system to factory settings and reconfiguring it. These steps should help you get back to your best speed and performance.
